Break-in at Playford hotel

Whyalla Police are searching for two men who broke into a Playford Avenue hotel with a machete and stole cash from the til.

According to police, at about 3am on Thursday, January 13, two men gained entry to the Playford Avenue hotel by smashing the glass doors.

Once inside, the men, armed with a machete, stole a cash til from the gaming room and then left. They were last seen heading north on Peters Street.

No one was injured during the incident.

The first suspect was wearing a black hooded jumper with red logo on the back, navy blue pants and tan ankle height work boots.

The second suspect was wearing black denim pants, white Adidas sneakers with three black stripes on the outside and a black hooded jumper with red logo on the back.
