Temps heating up for Spring

Temperatures are set to soar into the mid-high 30s over the coming days, with the max expected to be around 8-12 degrees hotter than normal for this time of year.

This is according to the Bureau of Meteorology who say temps will rise on Monday and Tuesday, before increasing again on Wednesday across the state due to hot northerly winds.

"The expected maximum is likely to be near or above 30 degrees in most areas, rising to the mid to high 30's over central parts. In the far north the maximum may be near 40 degrees," they said.

"Despite cloud increasing in some parts Wednesday will be warm to hot and windy in most areas some raised dust in the north and west.

"Fire dangers will be elevated in the far west on Tuesday and central parts on Wednesday."

A cool change will bring milder temperatures and gusty winds to the western and central parts during Wednesday and throughout by Thursday.

The change brings with it the possiblity of gusty thunderstorms with generally light rainfall, though local falls of 5-10mm are possible.
