Not every day can be a happy day.
But every day we can choose to be happy.
We can have an objective to make each day the best it can possibly be for us and those around us.
Every day we can make the conscious decision to put effort into rising above the negatives that surround us, consume us and sometimes threaten to overwhelm us. Some days we will be more successful than others.

Everyone has good days and everyone has days they would rather forget. We are all human.
For some people the definition of happiness is living life on an emotional high ... a state of continuous, uninterrupted joy. Clearly, though, that is unsustainable.
True happiness is about balance, contentment and deep satisfaction.
As such we have to accept that we are all different. What makes one person happen may fail to impress another.
We are all responsible for our own happiness. We can control it, nourish it and direct it.
At the other end of the emotional scale we have the same power over sadness.
The safest and most comfortable place to live our lives is somewhere between the two extremes but the skill to do that does not always come naturally. It's something we may have to learn.

We need never feel isolated or helpless. All we need do is reach out.
