Thursday, May 6 was a Stableford event, but due to the absence of players being in Mildura for the Veterans event very few players took part. Robyn Phillis came in with a great score of 38 points to just clip Michele Hart on 37.
Robyn was the recipient of the Whyalla Jewellers voucher and Michele the Westland Car Bath voucher. These two ladies play around their handicap regularly and are often in contention with each other. Well done to both.
Next was the intrepid traveller, Phyllis Branson who came in with 32 along with Annette Cotter. Last to receive a ball was the evergreen Margaret Dunn on 29 points.
NTP on 7th was Phyllis Branson with Raelene Foubister winning the sweepstake and Annette Cotter chipping in on the 17.
Tuesday was the Rhyllie Rymill State event, in honour of Shyllie Katharine Rymill, who was a Girl Guide Commissioner , was born in 1882 and died in 1959. She was heavily involved in golf over many years, winning many champiionships at Kooyonga, her home Club. This event is played with a partner which can bring out the best and worst in golf as everyone tries hard to keep their partner out of trouble. Once again the partnership of Michele Hart and Robyn Phillis were the outright winners, (and also in 2020) with a nett score of 77.5 and the recipients of 2 balls each. Well done once again. A close second was Jean Brown and Marcia Smith on 78.5, Helma Bambridge and Annette Cotter on 79, and Abbey Pritchard and Phyllis Branson on 80. Glenda Davies was the lucky recipient of the sweepstake.
