Police are investigating a pharmacy break at Whyalla Norrie on Monday where methadone was stolen.
Just after 4.40am Monday 9 December police were called to the Ekblom Street business after reports of an alarm activation. Police searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
CCTV footage shows a man forcing entry into the pharmacy and stealing half a bottle of Methadone.
The suspect (pictured) was wearing a hooded 'Nike' jumper, black 'Lonsdale' shorts with white stripes on the side and sneakers.
SAPOL Operations Inspector Mark Hubbard said it was possible the person responsible injured themselves in the process after Crime Scene Investigators located drops of blood at the scene.
"Methadone is a controlled drug and misuse can cause addiction, overdose or death. Anyone overdosing on Methadone should seek urgent medical attention and call the Poison Help Line," Mr Hubbard said.
Anyone who recognises the man or has information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report on line at www.crimestopperssa.com.au - you can remain anonymous
