Four youths have been arrested while a further two youths have been reported, following a series of rock throwing incidents and property damage in Whyalla Norrie.
Just before 10pm on Monday 18 November, Whyalla Police patrols responded to reports of youths throwing rocks at car in the vicinity of the Westlands Hotel at Whyalla Norrie.
On police arrival, four youths ran from the area, but they were quickly located and arrested . All four boys aged between 10 and 13-years-old from Whyalla Norrie were all charged with property damage and unlawfully on premises.
Meanwhile Whyalla police have also reported two boys for property damage after they allegedly threw rocks, smashing the glass doors of the Westlands Shopping Centre, back on Tuesday 15 October.
The boys aged 12 and 14-years-old from Whyalla Norrie were both reported for property damage of the doors, which cost about $2,000 to replace. Both boys are likely to appear in the Whyalla Youth Court at later date.
The arrested boys were bailed to appear in the Whyalla Youth Court on 18 December.
