Having wowed Whyalla at the 2018 uneARTh Festival, international superstar Berlin Boy-Wonder Hans is returning to the steel city with his award-winning show Hans: Like A German.
With the backing of a live band, Hans will be performing the accordion-pumping, foot-stomping, glittering blitzkrieg of cabaret at the Middleback Arts Centre on November 30.
Hans says he's looking forward to returning to Whyalla after having a ball entertaining an all-ages audience at the uneARth Festival in 2018.
"It was hilarious because I was performing and a lot of the kids were dancing along...I'm not normally a children's entertainer but it was great to see them enjoying it," he said.
"I had such a good time at the uneARTh Festival so I'll be looking to repeat that memory when I bring Like a German to the Middleback."
Hans says he loves performing in regional areas because of the unique atmosphere they offer.
"The audiences are more excited in some respects because not every show comes to town, it's more like a night out. We can feel on stage that the audience is really grateful to be there," he said.
Hans: Like A German has been a major hit at the recent Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne Comedy Festival, garnering multiple five star reviews and sold out performances.
"There's going to be a piano-accordion, tap dancing, feathers, glitter and a live band, everything else is unplanned," Hans said of his latest show.
"It's a little bit like choose your own adventure, each show is fresh for the audience."
Hans' most recent cabaret productions, Viva Hans Vegas (2016), Mein Camp (2017) and If You Don't Love Me...Leave! (2018), have all been praised by audiences and critics alike.
In addition, Hans was named 'Pick of the Fringe' at the Adelaide Fringe awards in 2018.
