The Spencer Gulf Obedience Dog Club is celebrating its 50th year of operation in 2019.

Records maintained since 1995 by Life member and Club Historian, Rodney Waters, show that Club Instructors have helped owners train over 2,000 dogs from the smallest Chihuahua to the largest Great Dane.

All the work of the Club is completed by volunteers. Congratulations and thanks go to members past and present who have contributed.

Those include Committee members, Instructors, Stewards, Canteen management, Equipment maintenance, Demonstration participants, Busy Bees, Organisers of Fund raising activities and all other valued contributions that help make a successful community Club.

The goals of the club include socialisation, developing good behaviours at home and in public by using positive training techniques dogs are more self confident and happier.

Classes are conducted on Sundays 10am at Nicolson Avenue Primary School oval.

All new members welcome.
