The Whyalla Bowling club has completed its Championship Pairs competition on Thursday, February 28.
The combination of Wayne Bishop and Wayne MacAllan were able to bowl more consistently over the 18 end final to win 21 shots to 15, against Bill Geihlich and Graham Pycroft.
The last end seeing the two Waynes down four (4) on the head with only the skippers to bowl, and Wayne MacAllan played a perfect bowl to take the shot, and the game away from their opponents.
The winners went on to represent the club at the Champ of Champ Pairs, played at Port Augusta on Sunday, March 3.
The club has also started its Championship Singles competition, with one section to the semi-final stage, with Dave Vale to play Dave Bull.
In the other section Graham Pycroft is awaiting the results of other games to determine who he plays in the other semi-final.

The club has also started its Handicap Pairs competition open to all social and full members, both male and female.
Three rounds of sectional play to determine finalist.
The second Monday Night Social Bowls competition will continue for a further four weeks before winding up on Monday, March 25.
This competition is open to anyone who would like to come and try the game of bowls, in a very social and relaxed atmosphere .
