A driver will face court after he lost control of his car in Whyalla Norrie today.

Just after 12.30pm on Friday 11 January, the man was negotiating a roundabout at the intersection of Jenkins Avenue and McDouall Stuart Avenue, when the rear of the Ford sedan slid out.

Patrols stopped the driver and breath tested him. He returned an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.192 - almost four times the legal limit.

The 29-year-old from Whyalla Norrie was issued with a 12 month immediate loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days.  He will be summonsed to court at a later date.
