Foubister in winning form

Well! It's nearly that time of year again where-by we should all be 'jolly'! That isn't always possible.

Just ask Reg Hocking, the poor dear had an altercation with a couple of garden edges in his back yard while attempting to pick a couple of ripe tomatoes off his vines. Yes, he received scratches and gashes to his legs, however, not enough to prevent him playing golf. Please Reg, lift your feet up!

Annette Cotter has made yet another speedy recovery after her second hip replacement. Great to hear that her 'cane' was dispatched after one week. The wonder of modern operating techniques is simply mind boggling. Well done Annette – we'll have to name this lady 'wonder woman'.

Kenny Foubister won the men's nine hole competition on Wednesday. Foubister gives much of his time organising these competitions so it was just reward for effort.

Life member Margaret Lewis has had a stay in hospital of late, but I am pleased to report that she is in good spirits and on the mend.

Charlie Agett was too good for the 'old fella's' competition on Saturday, played over nine holes. Agett chalked up nineteen points in the Stableford events, so that will place a dent in his handicap surely. The weather was so cool most guys would have liked to have played eighteen holes.

Best wishes are extended to Jenny Pollock for a full recovery in the near future. You are in our thoughts Jenny!
