A variety of unique Christmas Tree were recently on show in the Westlands Shopping Centre as part of the Festival of Christmas Display by the Anglican Church of Whyalla.
Submissions were taken from local preschools, primary schools, community groups, churches, children up to 14 years and adults for the festival, with the winners of each category being announced on Tuesday.
Unique displays included the Whyalla Special Education Centre’s submission which was made with recyclables in a tribute to the Junk to Funk fundraiser held each year for the school.
The Westland Traders supported the event by donating vouchers to be given to the winners of each category.
Coordinator Loris Scott thanked the Westlands Traders for their support and all the community groups which participated in the display.
“This year’s display was fairly full,” she said.
“I’m always impressed with what people come up with, they come up with some many ideas. It’s quite amazing.”
