Variety host Christmas dinner

Variety SA Car 86 are getting into the holiday spirit by hosting a Christmas Dinner at the Left Hand Club on December 8.

The dinner promises to be great fun for young and old alike, with Publicity Officer John Smith encouraging residents to bring the whole family down.

A two course smorgasbord with a range of salads will ensure no one leaves the dinner hungry. Gluten free options will also be available.

“We’re aiming to cater for everyone,” Mr Smith said.

“Bring the kids along, you wont need a babysitter, bring them with you.”

Local band Dr M, comprised of Derek Griffin (lead guitar, vocals), Rob Jongh Visscher (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Mick Frost (lead vocals, drums), will provide entertainment on the night.

Santa Claus is set to make a special appearance at the dinner, so children are encouraged to attend. Raffles and prizes will also be available on the night.

All the funds raised from the dinner will go to Variety which supports sick and disadvantaged children.

The Christmas Dinner is being sponsored by Pro Co Stage and Sound, Intersport, Westlands Shopping Centre and more.

For enquiries or to make a booking for the dinner ring 0499 927 482 or 0488 092 496. Tickets for adults will be $25 while children will be $15. The dinner will run from 6pm-12am.

Mr Smith said Variety were always looking for more volunteers.
