Westminster’s new Inquiry and Innovation Hub will open in 2020 as a major feature of the school’s $35million investment into its learning campus.

The three-level Inquiry and Innovation Hub will feature state-of-the-art science labs, collaborative learning and break-out spaces, as well as IT, design and engineering technology spaces, fashion/textile and CAD/media design studios.

It will complement the new mathematics wing and other transformed areas to create the school’s STEAM precinct.

Coming in 2021 will be the new Lifestyle and Cultural Hub, to be built adjacent to the Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts, the school’s renowned 1000-seat theatre for music, drama and dance.

This new hub will be home to an impressive dining hall, learning resource centre and the performing arts. Boarding students will be perfectly placed to take advantage of the exceptional range of opportunities available through the new learning hubs.

The breadth and depth of academic choice will complement the school’s outstanding sport development and high-performance program recently implemented to ensure all students can achieve more than they thought possible.

Sited in a private area of the school’s 23-hectare campus, the boarding precinct is surrounded by Sturt Grove, the school’s farm, spacious playing fields and the Sturt Linear Park, creating a beautiful rural oasis in the city.

“We are embracing the future of learning excellence across all year levels,” said Westminster School principal Simon Shepherd.

“The Inquiry and Innovation Hub, along with the major developments to follow, forms part of our commitment to preparing students to be the innovators, educators and leaders of tomorrow,” he said.

Westminster is offering a boarding five for four arrangement which allows students entering year 8 boarding in 2019 to receive five years of tuition and boarding for the price of four.

Enrolments for 2019 are currently being finalised while 2020 entry scholarships are now open to applicants at westminster.sa.edu.au
