Whyalla Headspace have put on a fun and engaging event aimed at celebrating young people as part of Mental Health Week.
Headspace Day was held on Friday from 11am-3pm and featured a variety of activities based around health, including table tennis, colouring and foosball.
Community Engagement Officer Courtney Beer said the focus of the day was to bring youths together to connect with one another and focus on the seven steps to healthy headspace.
Some of the steps included eating well, staying active and connecting with others.
“It’s crucial to take a moment and realise what’s important to you, and what makes you feel better,” she said.
“You need to find time to do those things so you are maintaining your wellness.”
Catering on the day was provided by local business Em’s Palate, creating yummy cheeseburgers for all the hungry mouths.
Mental Health Week will continue tomorrow with the Wellness Festival at the University of South Australia Whyalla Campus.
