Two men have sadly died after a fatal crash on the Augusta Highway.
Police and emergency service were called to the scene of the crash at Winninowie, about 15 kilometres south of Port Augusta, after reports that a car had left the road and collided with a parked trailer which was not connected to a truck.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Davoren park and the only passenger, a 30-year-old Hendon man died at the scene. Major Crash investigators are examining the circumstances of the collision.
Northbound traffic are advised to use Horrocks Pass Road and Spear Creek Road, with southbound traffic advised to use Flinders Ranges Way, McConnal Road and Spear Creek Road.
The above road closures should remain in place until about 1pm today. Their deaths takes the State's road toll to 45, compared with 55 at this time last year.
