A 37-year-old man was caught drug driving by police near Whyalla on Thursday.
Just after 4.30pm on Thursday, August 9 police were performing mobile radar duties on the Lincoln Highway north of Whyalla when they detected a car travelling at 152km/h in a 110km/h speed zone.
The driver was stopped and also drug tested where he allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine.
A man from Christies Beach was issued with an expiation notice for excessive speed, a total of $980 and 7 demerit points.
He was issued with a driver direction notice prohibiting him from driving for 24 hours and may face further charges pending the results of a forensic analysis.
