Croatia back on top after huge win

Croatia returned to the top of the league ladder with a thumping 9-0 win over Westland United on Sunday at Dakalanta Park.

Sam Sullivan showed the way with a hat-trick, a brace to Midfielder Canny and singles to Mahon, Rigg, Faulds and a first A grade goal to Lachlan Paterson sealed the big win.

In the reserves Westland United has to fight hard for a 4-2 victory over a gallant Croatia outfit that only had 9 players for the entire match.

On Saturday Steel United returned to the winners circle in the league with a 3-1 victory over Wanderers at Magill Park.

Two goals from the mercurial Anthony Joslyn and a lone strike from Aaron Ledington was enough to secure both points at home.

In the reserves, Wanderers continued their march towards championship glory with a 8-2 smashing of Steel United.
