The draw for this week looked pretty predictable as far as results would go and to be completely honest, that’s pretty much how most of it played out.

In 11 & Under Div 2, the top side YCW took out the win over Warriors 24-9, who are currently sitting second on the ladder.

In Division 1 Warriors continued their undefeated form over Ravens 20-6.

The 13 & Under grades generally had a similar theme with Ravens defeating an ever improving True Blue 17-6 in Div 2.

Kiwi took on Warriors in what ended up being closest of the games in Div 1, but still got over the line quite comfortably winning 35-18.

Looking at the ladder, 1 versed 2 in 15 & Under Division 2 with Ravens taking on True Blue.

Ravens convincing in their form winning this one 39-20.

15’s & Under Div 1 saw YCW make great improvement since the last time they took on Warriors Green.

Warriors Green still the victors by 19 goals on this occasion however YCW should be happy as this is a much better result than Round 2.

In E grade Ravens just got the win over YCW Yellow which edges them into second spot on the ladder, while Kiwi Red are still to have their spot on top threatened after beating their sister team 37-25.

They take on True Blue next week who are yet to have a win so the ladder is not likely experience much of a change other than in percentage.

Warriors Black are still yet to get their first win in D Grade, losing by three goals in a reasonably high scoring affair with their sister team Warriors Green 40-43.

They take on True Blue next week who are also looking for their first win.

Both teams will be looking to make the most of the opportunity but I think Warriors will have the edge.

Reserves actually had some close games this week.

YCW and Ravens played off, both looking for their first win.

YCW just came home with the points winning 20-19.

True Blue played Kiwi in the battle for top spot and managed to maintain control winning 40-33.

C grade did have a couple of surprises in store for us which is exciting to see.

Kiwi suffered back to back losses and convincingly so at the hands of True Blue who will be very happy with their win 32-15.

Warriors Green seem to be finding some form dominating over YCW in what was a complete reverse of the results we saw in Round 2, taking the points with 15 goal win.

Roopena also got their second win in a close one over Ravens while Warriors Black just got home over YCW Yellow.

In B grade the games of interest were always going to be Ravens Pink taking on True Blue White and YCW Yellow versing True Blue Blue - they both didn’t disappoint.

True Blue Blue had the lead early and held it for a while but it wasn’t enough to keep YCW Yellow at bay.

To their credit they didn’t roll over and let them take it and kept up a great fight until the end, True Blue Blue just falling short 55-57.

True Blue White certainly made a valiant effort but weren’t strong enough for a very in form Ravens Pink, Ravens taking the points 38-32.

There was one other game though that was more entertaining than your weekly dose reality TV and I certainly wouldn’t have picked the results.

Netball is sometimes about more than skill and experience and I mean that with no disrespect intended.

Sometimes keeping your head in the game and working well as a team is the difference between a win and a loss and that’s exactly what we saw between Ravens Black and Kiwi Red.

Kiwi Red’s self-combustion allowing Ravens Black to sneak home with a one-goal win.

At the beginning of the season I would have easily picked Kiwi Red to be a grand final contender.

I hope for the younger members of this team they sort their internal issues out quickly otherwise they may find themselves at the other end of the ladder.

Luckily for our A grade competition, the Kiwi team here is certainly very different and they are now sitting two wins clear on top of the ladder.

Not sure if this is a place Kiwi have ever found themselves before (I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong!) but I certainly hope they can keep their focus.

True Blue are just quietly going about their business and face Warriors this week.

Our combined sides will take the court for the first time this year on Sunday for the Spencer Gulf Carnival in Port Augusta at the Central Oval complex.

It’s looking like it will be a lovely day and the teams have been training hard.

The first round of the day starts at 9am, so if you are looking for something to do feel free to come and cheer us on.
