The school community of Whyalla Stuart Campus R-7 came together on Wednesday April 11 to unveil their amazing new mural.
Local artist Dianne Turner consulted with all students at the end of 2017 to gather ideas for the design.
Over the last two months, students, staff and parents all joined in to bring Mrs Turner’s plan to life using a paint by number blueprint.
Mrs Turner was very impressed with the enthusiasm shown by all the students and their meticulous work.
The ceremony involved invited guests, family members and all students and staff. Thanks to the hard work of James and staff from G D’Orazio Co Ltd, the mural had been installed over the weekend and covered over.
This added extra excitement to the ceremony. The fantastic piece of art will be a lasting reminder of the excellent work being done at Whyalla Stuart Campus R-7.
The school would like to sincerely thank Dianne Turner for her inspirational work, Tony Turner for his ongoing support of the project, Paul Robinson from Mitre 10 for all his assistance with sourcing supplies and Audrey Cusselli for her tireless work in getting the mural project and the ceremony organised.
