Advancing Whyalla will be running their very popular Christmas Lights Bus Tours this year with the support of Santos and Des’s Cabs.
The tour provides the opportunity for those who may be disadvantaged or unable to drive a chance to view all the Christmas lights in Whyalla, and is also a fun trip for anyone looking to find more unique light displays.
There will be six bus tours running over Monday, December 11, Tuesday, December 12 and Wednesday December 13. with two buses operating each night.
There are various pick up points along the route, with the lights from the western and eastern sides of Whyalla view-able. The tours will run for two hours between 8:30am and 10pm.
Advancing Whyalla member Kylie O’Malley said roughly a third of the buses had been booked, with seats still available for those interested.
“There’s been really good feedback from people booking this time about how much they enjoyed it last time, which is great to hear,” she said.
Admin and Finance Officer Laura Mann said Santos were happy to help out with the event each year and spread the Christmas spirit in the community.
Des’s Cabs provide the bus drivers for the event, with Assistant Transport Manager Clara Gallego saying the tour was often a highlight for them. Families interested in the tours should call Advancing Whyalla on 8645 5999 between 9:30am and 2:30pm Tuesday to Friday.
