The Australian Army are planning to set up for another exercise in Jubilee Park next month, with scenarios in Whyalla occurring between November 8 and 22.
The exercise is being run by The Royal Military College – Duntroon (RMC-D), which is responsible for training junior officers for the Australian Army.
RMC-D Operations Officer James Roberts spoke to the Whyalla News about what the exercise involves.
“This particular exercise is designed to train personnel in some of the likely tasks involved with stabilising operations in preparation for their graduation in December,” he said.
“The trainees will conduct tasks that would be expected whilst on peace keeping operations such as East Timor and the Solomon Islands.
RMC-D will be establishing a camp at Jubilee Park between 30 October – 7. Once the scenarios are complete, the RMC-D will then pack up and depart between 23-24 November. RMC-D will be strive to keep the disruption to the community to a minimum.
