Salt Creek will be the location for this Sunday’s orienteering event for Saltbush Orienteers.

This is a relatively new map and a little different in some areas to the normal terrain on our bush maps with quite gentle countryside.

It is also easy to get to with only a short distance to travel from the main road.

The start area is quite sheltered, so it is a good spot to sit in the sun and enjoy a barbecue lunch after completing your course with the family, or with friends or on your own.

Four courses will be available to suit all levels of skills and fitness and help to read a map or to use a compass is also available.

And if you don’t have a compass, please ask at the O van when you register for your course.

To get to the start area, travel towards Cowell on the Lincoln Highway for about 66 kilometress and follow the signs which will start at the turnoff to the Scenic Highway.

Remember to pack the chairs, your BYO everything barbecue lunch, wear good walking shoes, hat and sunscreen.

You can start on your course anytime between 10am and 1pm.

No dogs please, as this is private property.

If you have any further enquiries, please phone John on 8645 9697.

Look forward to seeing you there!
