The final of the League Cup was played at the Westlands Soccer ground on Saturday, ending in a 5-4 win to Westlands.

The game was one of the most exciting of the season.

Both teams started the game very attacking and fighting for possession in the midfield.

Lions were dangerous with their long balls up the field and Westlands were passing the ball around very sharply.

It was Lions that took the lead first, a goal to Joel Niemann putting the ball into the net.

Westlands were set to get back in the game.

Their passing was accurate and quick, making their attacks very dangerous.

It soon paid off as Anthony Joslyn slotted the ball just under the bar.

Westlands didn't cheer for long as Lions got ahead once more, getting the equaliser.

Poor defending from Westlands led to Mark Ormrod tapping the ball in the goal.

Lions were very good at using the wide players and getting the ball in the penalty box.

Westlands needed someone to finish the job after a good build up.
