We want to unearth some new performing talent in time for Whyalla’s uneARTh Festival next year.

This year’s uneARTh Festival was a massive success and showcased all sorts of fantastic talent in conjunction with the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

For next year’s uneARTh Festival at Easter, we want to see even more local talent doing their thing.

Doing “your thing” is exactly what it is all about.

You don’t need to be a concert pianist, a classically trained opera singer or guitar hero like Angus Young.

If you’ve got a talent for anything entertaining you should come down to our uneARTh Festival Performer Information Session at 6pm on Thursday, November 9, at the City of Whyalla council chambers to find out how you can be part of next year’s big event.

Who knows where it could lead to?

One of last year’s guest performers from the Adelaide Fringe, Anya Anastasia has gone on from the Whyalla uneARTh Festival to work throughout Australia and overseas including the London Underground Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone, young or old, who thinks they have a talent and knack at something that entertains to come along and find out how they can release that inner entertainer,” uneARTh organiser Rebecca Neilson said.

“We want to involve as many locals as we can as entertainers in next year’s festival.

“Thursday’s session will give you all the information you need, and the confidence, to be a part of this exciting new festival which will be going into its second year with an even bigger and better line-up of entertainment and attractions.”

Simply come down to the council chambers at the Civic Building at 6pm on Thursday, November 9. Further information can be obtained by emailing rebecca.neilson@whyalla.sa.gov.au or call on 8640 3444. The uneARTh Festival earlier this year was a huge success, with hundreds turning up to Civic Park to enjoy the festivities.
