Domino’s Whyalla is planning to raise some dough for 7-year-old Chevy Kennedy on Monday, September 18. Chevy has Cerebral Palsy and needs corrective eye surgery to fix his eyesight.
Domino’s will donate $1 from every pizza sold on the day to the local family to help with the cost of surgery and the family’s accommodation whilst Chevy is in hospital.
Domino’s Whyalla Regional Manager Luke Hill said the store is hoping to raise at least $1000 for the Kennedy family.
“We want to encourage all of our local customers to come down to the store and grab some piping hot pizza, knowing we are fundraising for a great cause,” he said.
“One of our team members is friends with the family so when we first heard about Chevy, we instantly knew we had to do something to help out.
“Our entire team are rallying behind the Kennedy family to try and raise as much money as possible.”
Luke explained that the team at Domino’s Whyalla strongly believe in giving back to the local community and are calling out for other organisations to get in touch with the store.
“If you are part of a local sports club or organisation and you are looking for support, come into the store because we would love to help out wherever we can!”
The Doughraiser will run all day on Monday, September 18.
Domino’s Whyalla is located at 128 McDouall Stuart Ave, Whyalla and is open seven days a week, from 11am until late.
