The much anticipated junior tennis grand final will be played next Friday night with trophy presentations to follow.
Last week's division A preliminary match was between Nicolson and Team Spain Town.
Matches were played out of order this week to accommodate players having other commitments.
Jacques Ferreira and Lachlan Jeffery gave Jonathan Solano and Brandon Martin a doubles lesson.
Jacques and Lachlan powtr housed through giving their opponents no chance at all, winning 6-0.
Billy Parish and Matthew Hill scored a great victory for their team with a close match over Joseph Webster and Sally Virgo 6-5.
The reverse doubles were played this week before singles and Team Spain Town were back in the hunt with impressive wins to both pairs.
Jonathon Solano and Sally Virgo proved a winning combination over Jacques Ferreira and Billy Parish 6-1.
Captain Brandon Martin and Joseph Webster had to fight a little harder for their win over Lachlan Jeffery and Matthew Hill 6-4.
This tied the match with singles to play.
Jacques Ferreira and Lachlan Jeffrey eased the pressure for their team in both winning 6-1 to put their team a nose in front.
Joseph Webster has once again proved his ranking next year needs to change with a strong singles game against Billy Parish 6-1.
It all went down to the last singles of the night, Sally Virgo needed to win 6-3 to tie the game and all Matthew Hill had to do was to get four games and the match would go to Nicolson.
Everyone knew the possible outcome except the players on court.
Matthew Hill played a fantastic game to overcome a very consistent Sally Virgo 6-4 and claim victory for his side.
Nicolson will now play South in the grand final.Looking at the matches for next week South's are the stronger side and this could be the side to take out the final.
The division B sides on paper looked very even, so it was anyone's match in this final.
Tyler Stringer and Shae Azzopardi have continually combined well to have a sounding win over Jarryd Moore and Ryan Halyburton 6-2.
Geordie Lines and Jacob Cunningham proved to strong for Aiko Deleau and Karly Dahlin 6-2.
Amy Denton and Chloe Boundey almost gave the game away with a 5-2 lead over Sean Bryant and Kyle Summerton, Sean and Kyle started to claw their way back into the match and couldn't get the last game.
Amy and Chloe snuck in 6-5.
This gave Town a small lead going into the singles.
Town only needed three of the six singles for victory.
Ryan Halyburton started the onslaught for South.
Ryan took no time at all to down Shae Azzopardi 6-0.
Geordie Lines had a tougher match over Aiko Deleau winning 6-4. South's victories just kept coming.
Sean Bryant and Kyle Summerton both had unexpected wins over their opponents, this was great news for South; with two matches to go they were now unbeatable.
Karly Dahlin fought out hard against Geordie Lines but Geordie proved too consistent and won 6-4.
Tyler Stringer was the lone soldier for his team this week winning both matches, he had a strong result over Jarryd Moore 6-2.
Congratulations to South, they now play North in the grand final next week.
North this season have been the dominant side and I predict North to be too strong for South next week.
