Cooler running conditions

19 Jan, 2010 07:58 AM

The changeable weather saw Harriers' run and walk face wind and rain and a temperature of 21C.

Cooler conditions encouraged more participants, 16 in all to our morning competition.

Back from a short break, Troy Brougham led from the start, closely followed by Victor Awata, with some confusion on the course letting Troy get away.

Victor and Roger Biedenweg came second and third respectively, and the first woman home was Mitchell Hoffmann fifth overall.

Veterans Nevill Rohrlach and Ken Litchfield keep getting better.

Walkers Bev Spriggs, Jo Grinter and Phil Ayling powered along and enjoyed the cool weather.

We will run the a1 Australia Day course to test it out, so come and join us next Sunday morning for a 8.30am start.

Any queries, call Eddie Drew on 0417 849 602.

It is now only nine days until the Australia day fun run to be held at the Ada Ryan gardens

starting at 9am.
