The weather for golf on the weekend was a little cooler and wetter with scores somewhat subdued on both Saturday and Sunday.

In Saturday's Northern Agencies Monthly Medal Terry Brown topped the scorers sheet with a fine 69 nett winning B grade two shots clear of Terry Gorman 71 with Clint Agett 73, back from a time out, won A grade on a count back from Noel Goldsworthy 73 and Dean May 74 won C grade on a count back from Rod Smith 74.

Ball winners were K Ayliffe 72, D Brown, P Fitzgerald, L Hill 73, B Boswell, A Phillips, C Stopp, P Chapman, D Veart, L Martinez, M Gordon 74, K Yeend, D Finch, P Lynch, A Best, D Tilly 75, B McIntyre, A Smith, Charlie Agett, and D Lewis 76 on a multi-way count back.

Nearest the pin was Dean Lewis 2.4m from D Tilly 2.85m, A French 6.6m and P Fitzgerald 7.75m from the rest.

Birdies were few and far between with only three recorded in the birdie competition from D Priess on the seventh, and S Griffiths and P Fitzgerald on the 13th with none recorded on the ninth and 18th.

The Continental Corner NAGA was a Sean Beaty affair with a mighty 88 nett.

This event was also the first round of the Tollhurst Noall 72 Hole and progressive totals will be posted after the second round.

Sunday's Stableford round was won By Danny Thorpe 37 on a count back from Geoff Hawes37, Steve Darby 35, Noel Goldsworthy and Ged Palmer 34 with Goldsworthy nearest the pin at 6.75m from Darby 8.3m.

Next weekend will be the McLeods Whyalla Motor Company Ambrose on Saturday and Men's Pennants at Port Augusta on Sunday.

Junior Golf:

Juniors was somewhat subdued with putting practice held in a special place because the weather was bad.

Junior golf is conducted from 9am on Sundays for any would be Tiger Woods and there is no charge to come and try out, please join us if you so desire.

We would love to have you play golf with us, come talk to us about membership and playing golf socially or competition golf.

It all gets better every week and is entirely volunteer driven.
