South welcome 2010 senior coach

03 Dec, 2009 08:34 AM
South Whyalla Football Club has named Travis Hole as senior coach for next year after being assistant coach for the past two seasons.

Hole has been in Whyalla for about two years, originally from Mount Gambier.

He will take over from former coach Grant "Fatty" Sleep, who has been senior coach since 2006.

Club president Chris Hnarakis made the announcement in front of players and supporters at the clubrooms on Wednesday night.

Jason Hannan will once again be in charge of the reserves for his seventh year in a row.

Hannan took the team to finals in 2004, 2005, 2007, a grand final in 2008 and a premiership in 2009.

At this point of time no announcement has been made on the under 17s coach.
