South Whyalla had a percentage boosting win as they belted last place Central by a whopping 135 points at Bennett Oval on Sunday afternoon.
With every game so vital to who plays finals, South could not afford to drop this game.
Especially with the Bays causing an upset win over league leader West on Saturday, which drew them level on points with the Demons.
Captain Ryan Baker made sure South got the start they wanted, firstly winning the toss and secondly kicking the first of seven first quarter goals for the Demons.
The Demons were kicking with a strong breeze and looked like they were there to play and within 17 minutes they had slammed on six goals.
Brad Page was clearly on top in ruck, Guy Sultan was busy and Eddie Wilson's pace was causing Centrals headaches early.
The Roosters were under the pump and trailed by 47 points at quarter time, but it was their turn with the strong four to five goal breeze.
But things went from bad to worse for Centrals as the Demons completely dominated the quarter.
The Demons kicked six goals to two points against the breeze, and at half time extended their lead to 85 points.
The Demons were devastating out of the centre and with forwards Greg Havers, Reggie Reid and Baker giving their opponents the run around, it was near impossible to see the Roosters reducing the deficit.
The third term was a quarter of wasted opportunities by South as they kicked 4 goals 10 to no score.
At times the Demons messed around with the ball which resulted in inaccurate shots at goal.
The Roosters started to apply more pressure at the contest causing the Demons to turn the ball over, something that was non existent in the first half.
At three quarter time the Demons were 119 points in front.
Adrian Huish, Daniel Sims and Nick Sims were giving their all for their team as the Roosters went into the last quarter in search of their first goal.
They had numerous opportunities as players squandered easy chances.
It wasn't until the 19 minute mark when Nick Sims on the run finished off from 20m to finally give the Roosters supporters something to cheer about.
The end result was a massive 135 point drubbing.
For the Demons Eddie Wilson was awesome all day with his line breaking runs a highlight of the game.
Ray McIntosh had a casual 30 plus touches, Brad Page has hit some form and his last quarter hanger was brilliant as he proved big white men can jump.
Greg Havers and Ryan Baker with four goals each were winners up forward and Guy Sultan was a work horse in the middle.
For the Roosters Daniel Sims, Nick Sims, Adrian Huish and Michael Geddes all tried their hearts out for their club with little support.
