Sullivan and Stopp make it hard for West

06 Feb, 2012 11:30 PM
On Sunday morning at Memorial Oval, it was Roopena's Sam Sullivan and Courtland Stopp both scoring 53 not out, to make it hard for West, as Roopena 8/178 from 30 overs defeated a brave West Whyalla outfit 10/107 from 19.

1 overs to stay on top of the My Cricket Premiership Table.

Roopena batted first with Stopp and Sullivan in control with the bat, ably assisted by Cohan Morris 16 and Ben Pengelley 17, ensuring West had a competitive total to chase.

West bowlers tried hard with two wickets each to Liam Croft and Stephen Palmer, leaving one wicket each to Ashley Hall, Jayden Croft and Zac Whitehouse.

After the interval it was West's batters' turn to face Roopena's music, as Jayden Croft stood and delivered, making 49, Angus McDonald 12 and Hall chipping in with 7, as West batters ran out of steam.
