Last weekend North made a statement to its supporters that they want to play in a Grand Final and win and this Saturday afternoon at the Memorial Oval they will play bottom team West who are hot and cold.
North supporters still doubt skipper Matt Quist's ability to discover if they are the real deal or just there to make up the numbers.
North needs to realise and understand that Josh Ackland can do better with the bat, as can David Marshall and are important cogs in the big wheel, along with Quist if they want to play in the Grand Final in March.
Another problem for North may be Mickey Jaritz and Dale Raymond discovering they are just as important part of the team and are part of the answers if North needs to perform at its best when under pressure.
West is the big disappointment this season, with talent to burn in skipper Sam Frick and with dad Graeme's experience, may be able to experience that winning feeling again.
Frick needs to discover the cricket skills and abilities of Chris Burns and Sam Lewis, while Jaryd Maxwell and Alan Walford are both important part's of the difficult task to beat North.
Graeme Frick is an experienced campaigner and could do wonders for the team, especially nurturing Christian Smith and Keith Wade in order to overcome North's bowling juggernaut to support Sam Frick and Lewis with the willow.
West can win the battle throwing North, but if they do, it will give them the confidence to continue on in their quest for that elusive premiership.
