It was nil runs and a pretty quick turn over of the innings for the Roadies.

The Tigers Shane Stephens had a good night, scoring a home run and two safehits, as the Tigers boosted their lead by getting three runs in the second innings.

RoadRunners strived to build up their score, only getting a single run, but still trailing by two runs in the third innings.

Holding strong not to let their lead become a failure, when the RoadRunners bat in the top of the fourth innings, the Tigers change tactics and played with more strength and stop the run tally for their opponents.

RoadRunners only gain a single run, but this was not enough to win, as time on the clock had stopped, ending with the RSL Tigers taking the valuable premiership points.

Each side should be happy with their team plays and it was another good game to watch.

Indians 7 defeated RoadRunners 5

Indians batters started the first innings as they faced Roadies Dave Adams pitching from the mound.

For Adams he had to counter-act the strong cross winds that caused havoc all game.

The Indians solved this problem by hitting the balls, as hard as possible, resulting in many fly balls in the air and dropped catches.

Indians scored four runs to start their lead and while the RoadRunners' batters worked diligently in the box, Indians made it difficult for them to score any runs in the first innings.

Indians gained only a single to increase their lead by five runs in the second innings.

Roadies found some grace and scored three runs, but this still left them behind.

No runs were scored by either side in the third innings and two runs each were made in the final innings, with Indians winning by two runs and this victory has boosted their team's confidences leading into the next game on Friday night when they face the RSL Tigers from 7.30pm.
