Time to honour local women

06 Feb, 2012 11:30 PM
The Enterprising Women of Whyalla are calling on all women who are running their own or helping to run a business to enter in the Whyalla Business Woman of the Year Award competition.

With the closing date of February 24 fast approaching, potential entrants are encouraged to pick up a nomination form from Leading Edge Telecoms or Century 21 and start writing.

Awards coordinator, Christie Mitchell said that the size of the business does not matter and women in partnerships with their husbands or partners should also consider entering.

"So it's nice to just get a bit of recognition for them and to acknowledge the hard work that goes on behind the scenes."
