Skies lit up by electrical storm

04 Feb, 2010 10:16 AM
Whyalla experienced two spectacular light displays from last Wednesday and Thursday's electrical storms.

With lightning bolts flashing, the electrical storm illuminated the night sky in a dramatic display.

While Whyalla residents did not see much rain, they should prepare themselves for possible showers today.

Whyalla has experienced over the week "muggy" and overcast weather conditions with temperatures remaining in the mid 20s.

The weekend will see temperatures rise to high 20s to low 30s with fine and sunny weather to be expected.

Light to moderate northeast to southeast winds and fresh afternoon sea breezes will cool down some local residents from the heat.

My wife and I lived in Whyalla for many years before moving to the Gold Coast in Queensland. She misses Whyalla. One of the reasons is because the Gold Coast has severe storms.Whyalla has fairly mild types of weather.I'd better not let her read this article.
