More to come?

10 Jun, 2009 11:30 PM
It's been a wet June so far with 14mm of rain falling in 10 days.

Whyalla is well on the way to reaching its mean rainfall for June, which is 25.6mm.

So far this year Whyalla has had 59.4mm of rain, which is well below the 104.8mm mean for the first six months of the year.

But the good news is more rain could be on the way.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting that Whyalla will have more rain on Friday and Saturday, and the State should expect rain to continue on Tuesday.

A total of 15.8mm fell in May, which is slightly less than last year when 17.8mm of rain fell for the month.

The mean total for rain annually in Whyalla is 265.3mm.

Last year Whyalla only had 187.2mm of rain with a total of 327.1mm falling in 2007.
