Church organises walking group

11 Mar, 2010 09:09 AM
The Whyalla Seventh-Day Adventist Church recently organised a walking group to benefit it's church members and friends.

Church Health director Joy Penman organised the walking group because walking allows weight control and protection from various diseases as well as regular exercise enhancing productivity, self-esteem and mood.

The group walks for 30 minutes around the Wetlands every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm.

Walking groups are effective because members encourage one another to walk.
